A reminder that the noted Columbia Law professor John C. “Jack” Coffee, Jr., will be visiting Melbourne early August to address the Australian Bar Association, the Australian Securities & Investments Commission and the University of Melbourne Law School.

by Friday 31 July.

This evening will be of great interest to Columbia Law and Business alumni but also to alumni from other Columbia schools. The opportunity to meet with a distinguished Columbia professor does not happen every day and we look forward to seeing you and your friends there. Interstate alumni are most welcome.

Professor Coffee has a B.A. (Amherst 1966), LL.B. (Yale 1969) and LL.M. in taxation (New York University 1976).

His principal interests are corporations, securities regulation, class actions, criminal law and white collar crime. He is listed by the National Law Journal as one of “The 100 Most influential lawyers in the United States.”

He will be addressing the function on a topic of his choosing and we hope that there will be an opportunity for him to update us on the progress of Columbia in general and of the university’s new Manhattanville campus in particular.
